Description

Silver Steel (Werkstoff 1.2210) is a tool steel. While called silver steel it contains no silver but it’s called so due to its bright appearance. Similar in specification to 80CrV2 so good toughness and edge holding.

Chemical Composition:-

C: Cr: V:
1% 0.95% 0.2%

Suggested Heat Treatments:

Heat to 830C

Oil Quench (Suggested Oil is Rye 50)

Temper twice for two hours at 200C for 63HRc

Supplied Surface Ground Annealed
