Description
12C27M is a very pure, fine grained alloy with good corrosion resistance. This will take a very sharp edge and is suited to kitchen knives.
Hardening :
Heat to 1080C (Hold for 5 minutes)
Air or Oil Quench (Suggested Oil is Rye 32)
Optional – Cool to -70C
Temper twice for two hours at 175C for 58/59HRc or 225C for 56HRc
Tempering:
Temper twice for two hours at 175C for 58/59HRc or 225C for 56HRc
