Description

Radius Platen for  simulating the hollow grind of a 58″ Contact wheels. Watercooled, to prevent overheating and extend life. We don´t recommend using the  platen without connecting it into a water cooling system as it generates a lot of friction and heat and it will shorten the life of the hardened plate by a lot. You can easily attach a low flow cooling system to take away the generated heat. Hardened 1045 steel is used for the curved grinding plate to allow the platen to withstand heavy grinding.

The Radius Platen is 50mm wide x 250mm long. Distance between mounting brackets is 200mm.

Available as a single product( heatsink, hardened plate and mounting brackets only) or combined with our flat platen assembly including wheels and tooling arm for fast change between attachments on your grinder!

This Platen can replace directly the flat plate of the standard Flat Platen delivered with your Pro v2 Belt Grinder.

    Works as expected by Claryx flawless. I am using a cheap aquarium pump in a 10l canister for cooling.
    Very good for grinding single bevel knifes, or making super thin hollow grinds.
